Frequently Asked Questions
"Do I need to call ahead or sign up before taking a class?" No, it is not necessary to pre-register for any of our classes. Just come about 15min before a class of your choice to allow for time to fill out a registration card and get situated. "What should I wear and what do I need to bring? Please dress in comfortable exercise clothes (barefoot in the Yoga room) and bring a small hand towel, water and a Yoga mat, if you own one. Please avoid wearing lotion on hands and feet (which could cause you to slip) and strong perfume. We have public mats available at no fee, but in general we encourage students to purchase their own mats for hygienic reasons "Do you offer any specials for new students? "]We offer the popular "1 Week Unlimited Intro to Yoga" Special for new students for only $30 which allows you to take as many classes as you can in one week. Please note this is available for San Diego residents only.[/expand]

[expand title="What changing facilities do you have?"]Changing and restrooms are available for men and women. We have cubbies outside the Yoga room where you can leave your personal belongings. You are welcome to take your valuables (phone, wallet, keys, etc.) inside the Yoga room, but please remember to turn off your mobile or pager.

[expand title="What are the main styles of yoga being taught at Prana? "]Vinyasa Flow, Hatha Yoga and Happy Back Yoga. We also offer Yin Yoga, Kundalini Yoga & Meditation, Restorative, Prenatal, and Mommy & Me Yoga.

[expand title="Can I leave class early if necessary? "]Yes. However, each class ends with a period of final relaxation (savasana) which typically lasts 5-10 minutes. Before leaving, please lie down for a brief savasana on your own (this is an integral part of every yoga session) and then quietly gather your things and depart before group relaxation begins.

[expand title="I am pregnant, when can I start with prenatal yoga? "]As with any exercise during pregnancy, you should always get the green light from your OB-GYN before starting Yoga. We recommend that you start with Prenatal Yoga after your first trimester. Check out our Prenatal Yoga page to get all your questions answered!

[expand title="Where do I park? "]Streetside parking is usually not a problem on surrounding streets (Herschel or Silverado). Please allow some extra time for mid-day classes (10am-12noon).
